My Trip to Cuba, Expectation vs Reality. Final
I have cursed you for a long time to a country and the nation of a country without limiting myself. Unfortunately, like everyone else, I cannot look at this country with pink glasses. My biggest concern is to create an elitist image as I said in one of my articles. Let me summarize why I hurt so much.
As a person who studies and works, I traveled every time I found time. Maybe not that much, but I tried to go wherever I could, in terms of money and time. If I could go by public transport, I did not take a taxi. If I could walk, I did not even get on public transport. Sometimes my feet collected water from my feet and I did not stop walking. I never stayed in a hotel. In exchange for a pack of cigarettes I gave, they advised to do dreadlocks to my hair because they had nothing to give. I gratefully carried that single piece of dreadlocks for 1 year until my scraps were mixed together.
Maybe our misfortune in Cuba was that we didn’t have any bad memories on our travels. Did I like everyone, no, but at least I did not see any badness from anyone. Cuba, on the other hand, was like the city of dreams. It was a utopian imaginary city where everyone was equal, everyone loved each other humanely, maybe they didn’t have money but knew how to live humanely. I was wrong. While the doctor of a country that exports doctors to the world earns $ 20 a month, the woman who sells food to the tourist at home earns that money in 1 hour or many … We say that when people have insufficient means, they can do everything. It is true, but we should not Africanize it. Unfortunately, the international system has made Africa the trumpet of the world. It has left it hungry, it has left it sick. It has thrown it ashore like an orphan. You cannot judge what you see there. There are people in hunger in Africa, but not in Cuba. Homeless exist all over the world, but not in Cuba. Healthcare is better than anywhere else, education is the same. But you are hungry and really bad. I say you can deceive the tourist. tourists are deceived everywhere, but if you are trying to gain an unfair profit with the conscience of people, you are really bad. I have no words to say anything else.
Nations are a product of states. I say very complacently, but this state has not created a good nation. Those revolutions have become the puppets of the nation in the light of leaders who believe in a stupid political ideology.
